The Casiguranin Pride #2: Athena Mae Imperial



Athena Mae Imperial, one of The Casiguranin Pride is a beauty queen from Casiguran, Aurora, Philippines. She competed in the eleventh edition of the national Miss Philippines Earth beauty pageant and was crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2011. As a beauty titleholder, she fulfills her duty as one of the spokespersons of the Miss Earth Foundation, an environmental-social-humanitarian outreach arm of Miss Earth beauty pageant. She is the representative of the Philippines in the eleventh edition of the international Miss Earth beauty pageant held in UP Theater Diliman Quezon City, Philippines and was crowned Miss Earth-Water 2011. 
Athena Imperial graduated as valedictorian in High School and finished a degree in Communications Research in University of the Philippines - Diliman. She's a former productionstaff and researcher in an investigative program on GMA.


It was such an honor to all casiguranin having being part of the community Athena represented.

"While the other girls were busy playing with their dolls, jackstones, kitchen-set toys, and jumping ropes, I was with the elders playing scrabble, word factory, fixing puzzles and solving games of logic. My goal then was to be as good as the adults I was playing games with. I even aimed to beat them. Yes, I am goal-oriented since childhood."

The Casiguranin Pride #3: The Casiguran and The Casiguranin

Casiguran is considered as the most urbanized municipality in Northern Aurora. It is located 121 km from Baler. Casiguran is filled with lots of beautiful scenery which considered as the 'asset of casiguran' and very caring people called the 'casiguranin'.
